In case you haven’t noticed, the #StarWars and #Transformers channels were created on Jaiku.

Well, I finally managed to buy a Fontenna… at least I think I did because after making the payment through PayPal, the redirect to the FON Shop failed. The Fon Shop has been really unstable with all the commotion caused by the 2€ Fontenna promotion for Foneros.
What made me buy the Fontenna (besides the great price of course) was the change Fon did on the community rules. Before this change you could get paid for the use of your Fon Spot if you were a Bill but you had to pay as well if you wanted to use other Fon Spots, now you can get paid and connect for free on any Fon Spot. Fon will be launching WifiAds, these will allow anyone to use free wifi after viewing an ad and the Foneros will get 5 cents per ad shown. I think that Fon is now on the right track
Fon released La Fontenna just a few hours ago and the Fon Shop is down
I’ve been trying to buy one with the promo code they sent me but so far no cigar…
Well the 1st one is gone! Although we were only 6 persons, the OpenCoffee “goals” were achieved: we traded contacts, spoke about ideas, startup projects, shared opinions and advice, all this in a cool and relaxed mood. The funny thing is that the OpenCoffee become an OpenDinner, the time to dine had come and since we were so close to all the restaurants, we picked the quite nice “Pasta Café” for a great dinner
The next one will be planned more carefully, hoping that way more people will show up

We finally set a date for the first Lisbon OpenCoffee Club Meeting, it will be on April May 10th, in the Centro Comercial Vasco da Gama at 7 PM. If you want to join us, drop by the group’s Upcoming page and subscribe, let us know you’re coming.
Update: I finally managed to create an event page for the meeting.

The Lisbon OpenCoffee Club now has a mailing list (provided by Vitor Domingos, one of our members). If you want to join the club, please register on the group’s page on Upcoming and subscribe the mailing list. We’ll be using the group page to track members and events, the mailing list will be used for direct messaging between members.

The OpenCoffee Club was started to encourage entrepreneurs, developers and investors to organise real-world informal meetups to chat, network and grow.
The OpenCoffee meetings can be seen as an open forum where people come and go, giving the others a piece of their knowledge, business experience or even challenges to the community. We favor everybody as long as their presence is positive, we treasure knowledge, technology demos, and innovation. Sharing and fun are the keywords here, so these meetings are not formal.
Created by Saul Klein just a few months ago and the initiative is spreading throughout the world like wildfire. With 22 worldwide groups and counting, the Lisbon OpenCoffe Club will be the latest (for now), and I invite you to join the group. So far there’s no meeting scheduled, but we’re planning one still this month. So come and join us and stay tuned for the first Lisbon OpenCoffee Club Meeting

Having place in Coimbra on the 28th this month, organized by the guys at ideias3, Take Off is described as an event of innovation and entrepreneurship in the new technologies. Being this the first edition of Take Off, it’s going to be a one day only event, nevertheless it has a very interesting list of speakers, to name a few like Pedro, Fred and Armando.
I’m sure it will be a great event. My hotel room is booked, it will be a good opportunity return to Coimbra.
Adobe’s Apollo just got some serious competition.
