European Black Friday – Today

Black Friday in Apple’s Portuguese Online Store is a big big disappointment. Not only we don’t get the same discount rate on the same products among other European stores, we even don’t get some of the discounted products that are common for all European stores, like the Airport Base Station with iTunes… once again, we’re always different from the others and always for worse.

It’s not always for the worse, but in most cases is… (see Apple Store Portuga x Ireland x Belgium x Finland). I think it’s the damn VAT!

  • Pedro Diogo says:

From the images in your post I can only take one conclusion – I must be blind!

I accept the fact that we don’t have Airport with iTunes, but the price you can’t do nothing about… The difference between our shop and theirs is that our is located in Portugal, where IVA is 21% and of course, prices will certainly a little bit higher. The difference is just half a euro sometimes!

Now please, you and other people should stop that attitude, that Portuguese things are the worst, and start enjoying what you really have.

  • Odrakir says:

Pedro, the prices for the end client are the same for all the products, the problem here is that the discount is being applied on the price without the VAT, which isn’t fair for the consumer.

The problem with our country is exactly that, most people settle with what they have and not with what they should / could have. The hands down attitude is getting us nowhere.
