Apple released today the new [tag]iMac[/tag]. It has three new features: it’s thinner, it’s got an [tag]iSight[/tag] videocamera built in and a new applications bundled, one called [tag]Photobooth[/tag] and the other is [tag]Front Row[/tag], a media center with a bundled remote. Two models are available a 1.9 GHz with 17″ screen and a 2.1 GHz with 20″ screen.

The other “star of the day” is the long waited [tag]iPod Video[/tag], the format is similar to the old [tag]iPod[/tag] but with a bigger screen. A 2.5in TFT display with 320×240 pixels with MPEG 4 and H.264 video decoding. It has only 260,000 colours but it can output video to a TV. Available in 30 and 60 GB capacities, but thinner than the current 20GB Pod. The 30GB will be $299 and the 60GB will be $399 and it comes in black like the nano.
Apple innovates once again, and as usual a new iTunes 6 is available. You can now buy TV shows, movies and videoclips. Soon podcasting will evolve to screencasting… 🙂
My 2 cents.? I’ll wait and see. It looks good, but the screen size is very small compared with the [tag]PSP[/tag] screen. As for the screeen quality I’ll have to see it for my self, the photos “can’t do the trick”. Oh and like Rui, I was hoping for some wireless connectivity…
