After much speculation about the domain names registred (like calendar.google.com), Google joined forces with Sun to bring the power of StarOffice (OpenOffice) applications to the web. A webcast of the news conference has been scheduled for today.

Is this actually confirmed yet? I really hope this is the case…please, please, please. Nothing in StarOffice 8 or OpenOffice.org 2 indicates any sort of collab with Google services but then there is always the case that some StarOffice guys from Sun were poached/moved to Google perhaps with the intent of doing soething with the codebase. Who knows? I guess we will find out tomorrow.
