PSP 2.70 Firmware
Sony launched the new 2.70 firmware for the PSP, adding Flash and AAC support as well as a new option to save audio files from the subscribed RSS feeds. Great, but this was known since Sony’s last press conference where 3 firmwares were announced for this year. The best feature of this firmware isn’t Flash or AAC support, the best part of the 2.70 is to let us run game demos from the Memory Stick, like the LocoRoco demo, which, by the way, is probably one of the best PSP games of 2006. The PSP is a great machine, it’s a shame that Sony is killing it with slow firmware releases, crappy upgrades, shity UMD prices and a mountain of remakes. Still, I’ve been enjoying some great games on my PSP. Socom FTB is addictive, probably the best online game for the PSP and Street Fighter Alpha Max is a must for Street Fighter Fanboys.
The PSP Lives!
