– Sony goes social and unveils Home for the PS3. It steps into Second Life turf, although is not the same thing but it’s a beginning for a game platform and it looks very good.

– Microsoft announces the new HD Photo (previously known as Windows Media Photo), a new image format for HD photography claiming that it offers higher image quality, greater preservation of data, and advanced features for today’s digital-imaging applications, which by the way, seems to be only supported in Windows right now but there’s a PS CS2 and CS3 plugin for Mac OS X.

– Adobe opens their bags of tricks and pulls the new Photoshop CS3 Extended, a new edition of PS that adds 3D and motion graphic integration as well as image measurement and analysis tools. This version simplifies the workflow for professionals in architecture, engineering, medical and science. Both CS3 and CS3 Extended will be formally introduced in March 27.

– Camino gets updated to version 1.04, this release covers some security and stability issues and brings the 1.8.0.10 Gecko engine. I’m still using the 1.1 beta and happy with it.

This proofs that the Dreamcast was one of the best consoles of all times…
